At Bija, we are committed to transparency about the data we collect and how we use it. We collect information to provide you with a personalized spiritual journey experience.
Types of Data Collected
- Account Information: Email address, name, and profile information provided during registration
- Authentication Data: We use Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In for secure authentication. We only receive your basic profile information (name, email) from these services
- Spiritual Journey Data: Your meditation sessions, journal entries, goals, preferences, and progress tracking
- Usage Analytics: App usage patterns, feature interactions, device information, and diagnostic data to improve our service
- Communication Data: Your interactions with our support team and any feedback you provide

2. Authentication Methods
We support the following secure sign-in methods to protect your account:
Google Sign-In
Sign in securely using your Google account. We only access your basic profile information (name and email address) as permitted by Google's authentication protocols.
Apple Sign-In
Sign in securely using your Apple ID. Apple Sign-In provides enhanced privacy features, and you can choose to hide your email address by using Apple's private relay feature.
We do not store your Google or Apple credentials. All authentication is handled securely through their respective platforms.
3. How to Delete Your Account
We understand that you may wish to delete your account and associated data. You have full control over your data, and we make it easy to request deletion.
Steps to Delete Your Account

Open the Bija App
Launch the Bija mobile application on your device

Navigate to Settings
Tap on your profile icon, then select "Settings" from the menu

Select "Delete Account"
Scroll down to find the "Account Management" section and tap on "Delete Account"

Confirm Deletion
Review the information about data deletion, then confirm your decision
Alternative Method
If you're unable to access the app or prefer to request deletion via email, you can contact us at hello@bijatech.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include your registered email address.
4. Data Deletion Timeline
Once you request account deletion, here's what happens:
- Immediate Action: Your account will be deactivated immediately, and you will no longer be able to log in
- 30-Day Processing Period: We will permanently delete your personal data within 30 days of your deletion request. This processing period allows us to ensure complete removal from all our systems, including backups
- Retention for Legal Compliance: Some information may be retained for longer periods if required by law, such as transaction records for tax purposes or data needed to resolve disputes
- Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated and anonymized usage data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for analytics purposes
What Gets Deleted
- Your account and profile information
- All your spiritual journey data and journal entries
- Your meditation session history and progress
- Goals, preferences, and personalization settings
- Any content you've created or uploaded to the platform
5. Canceling a Deletion Request
If you change your mind after requesting account deletion, you may be able to cancel the request if we haven't completed the deletion process yet. Please contact us immediately at hello@bijatech.com with the subject line "Cancel Account Deletion Request." However, once the deletion process is complete (after 30 days), we cannot recover your data.
